Marcelle Gauvin
CO-DIRECTOR - The Alchemy of Voice, Kirtan
Associate Voice Professor at Berklee College of Music
Marcelle is a sacred vocalist, healer, and guide whose life weaves music, ritual, and the unseen realms into a path of deep transformation. Initiated early into the language of nature and the healing power of sound, her soul was called to ceremony at a young age through plant medicine, and a mentorship with Abenaki elder Strong Oak. Her voice—both medicine and offering—led her to an international jazz career under the Whaling City Sound record label.
A master teacher of voice pedagogy, a Reiki Master, and a Sva Ha Yoga teacher, Marcelle brings decades of wisdom in voice through voice science, art and healing. She is now an Associate Professor of Voice at Berklee College of Music, where she serves as a voice retraining specialist and yoga instructor for the Kenny Werner Institute. A devoted student of Lisa Ishwari Murphy’s Energy Medicine lineage, Marcelle’s path has led her to Nepal and beyond, exploring the voice as a tool for transformation. She is a Gandharvic singer and facilitates vocal workshops and Kirtan as a faculty member of the Sva Ha Academy.
