Paula Lazaroff is the owner of Essential Healing Arts where she feels honored to support clients in transforming their lives in connection and harmony with the natural world. Helping others heal in the same ways she did (and continues to do), leading to a more joyful, peaceful and vibrant life, is both a calling and a gift. With over 30 years in the healing arts, Paula began her journey long before holistic practices became mainstream. After earning a degree in Nutritional Biochemistry, she realized that lab work was not for her and went on to pursue her passion for holistic health by training as a massage therapist. Her practice expanded over the years to include Craniosacral Therapy, Shamanic Practices, Breathwork and many body-centered techniques too numerous to name. Always exploring and learning, Paula’s interests in spirituality, meditation, music, nature, yoga and art came together when she met master teacher Lisa Ishwari Murphy. Lisa’s foundational teachings were key to profound transformation and a much deeper, more sane! understanding of the world. Learning about and healing through sacred sound, natural law and energy medicine allowed Paula to reconnect to her true self. A highly sensitive and intuitive person with a unique sense of humor and a gift for compassionately listening and helping others process emotions, heal traumas, and reclaim their brilliance. Paula began her studies with Lisa Ishwari Murphy in 2004, receiving advanced training in Energy Medicine including Sacred Sound Healing, Reiki lll in the Bon Po tradition, natural law teachings, shamanic initiations in the Q’ero Inca and Bon Po traditions, Sva Ha Yoga, Energy for Life Coaching, Oral Transmission, Past Lives… and on and on…is there a class she hasn’t taken at least once! With Lisa, the wisdom continues for a lifetime. At Svaha Academy, Paula currently teaches Foundations of Sound Healing, Anatomy and Pranayama for the Svaha Yoga and the Synergy of Sound yoga teacher training program. She also co teaches Energy Medicine and Shamanic Practices and Earth Based Medicine with Sarah Boehler. You may also find her out in the community leading Synergy of Sound Immersions and Shamanic Heart Journeys, as well as spending time swimming in the ocean whenever possible. Paula's other influential teachers include Nan Moss & Sandra Ingerman (Shamanism) and Don Cardoza (Aikido & Bodywork).
